Due to the enormous variety in writing styles it is important to have some idea of what you should do if you are called upon to conduct an interview for the purpose of compiling a print story.
The best interviews happen when you can conduct the discussion in a fashion that allows the person you are interviewing to feel as if they are simply sitting down to a cup of coffee with someone who is interested in the issues that they find important.

If you find yourself in a mentoring relationship with another writer there will come a time when they will ask you for your opinion on their writing.
There are often two approaches taken with these types of reviews. The first response is to simply find all the good things about the work and give them praise. The second one is fairly brutal by pointing out every fault imaginable. You mark up every fragment, grammar error and misuse of the word ‘to’.
Myth: To clean my ears, only cotton swabs, keys, or my fingers work
Truth: Do not put anything in your ear that is smaller than your elbow
Many people think that ears must be cleaned like our bodies to remain healthy. While ears do need to be kept clean, they actually clean themselves. How? The skin of the ear canal (cerumen) migrates outward and acts as a protector of the delicate eardrum. Many times, prodding, poking, or picking at this material pushes it back in, causing blockage and potential temporary hearing loss – or even accidental puncture of the eardrum. In that event, a serious injury to the hearing bones can result in the need for emergency surgery.
And if itchy ears are often incorrectly relieved using cotton swabs the repeated scratching can cause a thickening of the ear canal, much like a callous. This pushes wax even deeper into the ear canal.
To start we must first dispense with some basic concepts. Barbecue refers to low and slow cooking (think pulled pork, beef brisket, tender and juicy pork ribs). Grilling refers to hot and fast cooking (think steaks, pork chops, hamburger and various kinds of kabobs).
Generally speaking, barbecue refers to cooking with wood over a low heat in order to bring the internal temperature of the meat being cooked up to edible temperature slowly so as to avoid losing moisture (i.e. tenderness) from large cuts of meat. For example, cooking a 14 lb. beef brisket using the hot and fast method will most likely leave you with meat that is burnt on the outside and raw in the middle. Many barbecue cooks use indirect heat (i.e. fire source is offset from the cooking chamber) versus direct heat (i.e. first source is located in direct proximity to the cooking chamber) to help combat this issue.
What parent and grandparent does not want to give their child a unique toy that can be uplifting? A wooden toy barn would be a toy that would be high on the list. Children love to be in their own pretend world and what better world to be in than a play farmer?
Raising my children on a dairy farm, their dad built a barn for his children before they were born. This barn was not only a barn but represented a lifestyle. Children can play out their own world of parents and grandparents with a wooden toy barn.
When we brought our new baby home, our world was perfect. He was healthy and we couldn’t stop looking at him. Everything was going great - the diaper changing, the breast feeding, the change into his sleeping gown. He was an angel when I laid him down in his bassinet, he seemed so peaceful. I was tired enough from the labor and delivery; I was beginning to unravel with this extra stress and the sleepless nights.
Then I had an excellent idea - why not have my mother come over and help. After all, she had four children and sailed through all the ups and downs. Surely I’d get excellent help and some rest.

The relationship with the spouse or partner may not be the best. Aging parents can add to the burden. These and other responsibilities add up in the toll they take on the body, health and well-being of a woman.
